Nova Heartland Park Race Results July 12, 2016 by John Heard Since Ozark Raceway Park rained out,July 9th and we wanted to race real bad, we decided to try our luck at the Heartland Park True Ten Five race in Topeka. Bunch of our friends were there running so we gave it a shot even though we had Pro 275 radials mounted up. It was HOT and HUMID, when we got there it was 4000 DA and 120 GOW, but at least there was a little breeze which made it a bit more bearable. Read more »
Nova Bash in the Backwoods Win at Ozark Raceway Park June 13, 2016 / July 3, 2016 by John Heard We got our first win of the season June 11th at Ozark Raceway Park’s “Bash in the Backwoods” race in the Drag Radial Class. Just barely edged out Tony Phillips in the final 4.85 to Tony’s 4.88. I was very happy to finally get the car to go down the track after all the problems we had at the first race of the season not being able to get it to hook. Still have a handful of issues to continue to work on, but we’re making headway. Hot track’s are still quite a problem, we should probably switch to the new pro bracket radial like everyone else has, that would certainly help. Read more »
Nova New Setup Debugging – 1st Race of 2016 May 17, 2016 / May 17, 2016 by John Heard After lots of late lights thrashing to get the car done, we did make the first race of the 2016 season at Ozark Raceway Park May 6 & 7th. After knocking the tires off immediately (.25) at the hit on our 1st pass, it became quickly apparent we'd missed the setup a bit, which later became a bit of an understatement. 2nd round of qualifying we turned it way down, adjusted shocks.. normal changes in that situation but yet again knocked the tires off at .25.
